The legalisation of an authorised translation can be done according to the type of the original document, as follows:
- Standard / authentic documents, issued by state institutions → legalised without any other formalities;
- Documents under private signature (e.g. contracts) can be legalised as follows:
- Certified copy + Legalisation (if the original document is in Romanian and has less than 4 pages)
- Certified Date + Legalisation (if the original document is in Romanian and has more than 4 pages)
- Certified Date + Legalisation (if the original document is in a language other than Romanian)

Legalised translations will have the following elements and information, after finishing the notarial procedures:
- Authorisation form, as well as the signature / stamp of the authorised translator (at the joint of pages);
- Dry stamp – applied by the Notary Public, at the top right of the pages of the legalised translation;
- Signature and stamp of the notary public – at the joint of pages and on the certification of the translator’s signature;
- Date of legalisation – the date of notarising the signature of the authorised translator.
